The why's and why nots

Up Close & Personal

Family travel is a cherished opportunity for exploration. It's a time when bonds are strengthened amidst new experiences and shared adventures. From embarking on road trips to distant lands or discovering hidden gems in one's own region, family travel fosters a sense of togetherness and creates lasting memories. The journey becomes a classroom without walls, where children learn about diverse cultures, history, and the wonders of the natural world firsthand. Beyond the destinations themselves, the laughter, challenges overcome, and moments of connection make family travel an invaluable chapter in the story of a family's life.

Tips and Tricks

Best tip ; GO EARLY

From the time you start your trip at the airport until you start your exploring, We can give you the best tips and tricks to make your traveling experience less stress and more fun. For starters if you fly I highly recommend CLEAR https://www.clearme.com/Clear is a expedited security clearance through airports and many sporting and entertainment events. And if you have American Express, it's FREE. We also recommend TSA pre check. If you have these two pre security screenings you don't have to worry about getting to the airport hours before your flight departs.
Next, begin your trip with the lounge. There are many lounges thourghout the airports. Apply for a Priority Pass or simply use one of your credit cards, like American Express, Capitol One or Alaska to gain access into the lounges. Absolute game changer; Free food, free drinks, coffee soda or liquor (top shelve will have a fee) ' whatever you desire. The lounges have clean restrooms quiet areas, phone booth areas couches and so many more amenities.
If you're visiting The Britannia go early. We  purchased our tickets  through Viator prior to arriving. We were the first on, took many pictures and videos without strangers in our photos. Don't forget to have tea and biscuits prior to leaving. The whole tour took us just under 2 hours including tea and shopping. And because we were the first ones there when they opened we were allowed in before our scheduled time. For Kennsington Palace however, you can not get in line until 30 minutes prior to your tour. Also many of these sites have security and I wouldn't recommend bringing big bags.
Arriving early ensures not waiting in long lines, perfect videos and pictures and truly enjoying the history and not feeling rushed.
Purchase all your tickets before your trip. I like Viator and Get Your Guide. We arrived at Edinburgh Castle an hour prior to the line starting (a must). These sites get packed, and sell out. Also if you are far from your destination, make sure your Uber or other apps are up and running for faster arrival times. Another great option we figured out once we arrived was the double decker bus. This bus will take you to all the destinations and you can hop on and off. For best pricing be sure to book before your trip.
